What is Autostrek and who is it for?

A high-level overview of Autostrek’s automation pipeline, ideal project profiles, and how it differs from generic CAD.

Autostrek is a purpose-built 3D/CAD environment for timber structures up to the “garage / garden room / small cabin” scale. It automates framing, documentation, pricing, and visualization so builders stop burning hours wrestling with general CAD packages.

Autostrek render preview of a timber structure

The cabin above is an Autostrek model with every stud, rafter, and panel generated automatically, then rendered through AI Render. The visual matches the production geometry one-to-one.

Overview

The platform combines a build generator, framing automation, measurement tools, pricing engines, and AI visualization inside one browser tab. The model you see is not a cosmetic sketch—Autostrek outputs every stud, plate, rafter, roof panel, and trim piece so you can jump straight into cutting or fabrication.

  • Generate complete assemblies—including studs, rafters, siding, and roofing—in seconds.
  • Build from scratch with the smart tape measure suite when you want to lay out any detail manually.
  • Layer in openings, structural changes, and layout tweaks without redrawing geometry.
  • Export PDF plan sets, material schedules, cut lists, and project plans.
  • Generate AI renders and overlay your own site photos using the 3D model to visualize how the build sits in the real world.
  • Auto-generate pricing with live supplier comparisons so you can see margins before buying materials.

Who benefits

Autostrek targets anyone delivering small timber structures repeatedly. It removes the need for heavyweight BIM tools yet keeps enough rigor for pricing and permitting.

  • Hobby builders: Plan back-yard shops, sheds, saunas, and bunkies with precise board counts before you purchase lumber.
  • Professional shops: Produce quoting packages, plan sets, and renders for clients within the same day instead of waiting on a draftsperson.
  • Dealers and kit manufacturers: Keep your catalog consistent by cloning and adjusting approved templates in minutes.

When Autostrek is the right tool

  • You need full framing, not just pretty renderings.
  • Your project footprint is under roughly 12 × 24 m and uses stud framing.
  • You plan to turn the model into a build timeline, PDF plan set, or material order.
  • You want to make product images directly from the model instead of hiring outside visualization help.
