Recommended test
Configure four different orthographic directions and use them to find one alignment issue.
- Switch the main workspace to 2D/orthographic and open Quad View.
- Set panes to Front, Side, Top and Iso or another useful fourth direction.
- Fit each pane and enable measurements only where they remain readable.
- Return to Single view and inspect any discrepancy found across the panes.
Availability in the workspace
Quad View is available from orthographic working mode and is blocked while incompatible planning state is active. Switch out of Project Planner editing and into 2D/orthographic before opening it.
Configure each pane
Each pane can use its own preset direction, projection behavior, fit, measurement visibility and orientation. North/orientation information helps keep elevations consistent. Fit panes individually after changing direction.
Control the display
The Quad sidebar switches Color or Line display for the comparison. Use Line for technical elevations and Color when surface identity matters. Avoid putting every label in every pane; repeated dimensions become unreadable quickly.
Return to focused work
Quad is an inspection and export arrangement, not four independent models. Changes refer to the same project. Return to Single view for precise selection or editing, then reopen Quad to confirm the result from all directions.
