Recommended test
Prepare three non-overlapping dimensions on a front elevation and capture them in a Planner page.
- Switch to Front orthographic and enable plan measurements.
- Create three useful current measurements, then drag or reset their offsets to avoid overlap.
- Compare label background and colored-line options at the intended page scale.
- Add or refresh a Planner page and confirm the same measurement visibility returns.
Orthographic requirement
Plan measurements are intended for orthographic views, where screen direction maps consistently to the elevation or plan. Perspective views can communicate shape but are unsuitable for scaled dimension layouts.
Control what is visible
Each measurement can be shown or hidden for the current presentation. Label backgrounds improve readability over dense framing; colored lines help distinguish dimensions but should remain consistent with the document palette.
Move offsets
Offset a dimension away from geometry and neighboring labels. Reset offsets when a camera or model change leaves annotations stranded. Keep dimension lines outside the main silhouette when possible and avoid crossing extension lines.
Save page state
Project Planner captures current temporary Tape Measure and CC measurements with the page. Named saved sets are separate: their visible labels do not mean the set library is included in the page capture. Keep required page dimensions in the current measurement collection and check the page summary, then switch away and back.
Save .strek and reopen the page in a separate session to verify persistence. Revisit the page after geometry edits and verify every endpoint; delete and recreate uncertain measurements. See measurement troubleshooting for missing labels and unexpected values.
