Create separate footprint and height sets, then show only the set needed for the current view.

Measure two footprint spans and save them as a set named Footprint check.
Create a vertical measurement and save it as Height check.
Hide one set, rename the other, and confirm the viewport labels follow the controls.
Create a fresh temporary dimension, capture it in a Planner page and save the .strek project.
Open the file in a separate session and verify the page dimension; do not expect the named-set library to return.

Separate measurement tasks

Saved sets keep related dimensions together during the current session: footprint, opening layout, roof height or a fabrication check. Use their visibility controls to show only the task being reviewed.

Save, rename and remove

Create the measurements, save the current set and give it a descriptive name. If sets already exist, choose whether to append the current measurements to an existing set or create a new one. Appending keeps the existing entries; it does not replace the entire set.

Saving moves the current measurements into the named set and clears those temporary entries. New sets are activated so their labels can remain visible. Sets can be renamed, shown, hidden or deleted. Deleting a set removes its entries; hiding it only changes visibility.

For CC construction, this also changes the generation batch. Generate and Place Trusses process current CC runs, so a run moved into a saved set is no longer included, even if its preview remains visible. Saving a completed run can keep a session reference while allowing the next construction batch to start separately.

Locking a run is different: a locked current shape run is still generated, using its frozen settings. Neither saving nor clearing a measurement run removes objects already generated from it. See CC run states before combining several construction batches.

What survives reopening

Named measurement sets are currently held in session memory. They are not written to browser local storage or restored as a named-set library from .strek. Reloading the workspace can lose them. The word Save in the measurement card means organizing the current session, not saving a project backup.

Planner has a separate capture path for current temporary Tape Measure and CC measurements. It does not capture the named-set collection. To preserve a dimension on a page:

Select the intended Planner page and create the required dimension as a current measurement.
Keep that dimension in the temporary collection while the page captures its state.
Switch away and back to confirm it belongs to that page.
Save the .strek project and reopen it in a separate session to verify the page dimension.

Avoid stale dimensions

Measurements do not replace parametric constraints. After moving, editing or regenerating geometry, inspect whether saved endpoints still describe the intended objects. Recreate a measurement when the model has materially changed rather than relying on a label whose original reference is uncertain.
