Push or pull a closed sketch region

Turn a supported closed profile into a positive extrusion or recess and keep its distance editable.

Start with a valid region

Push/Pull requires a supported closed profile on one face. Rectangular and triangular segment loops are the most predictable tests. If no region appears, inspect endpoints and self-intersections before changing the extrusion controls.

Choose direction and distance

The sign of the distance determines which side of the sketch plane receives the result. Use a short distance first, orbit the preview and then enter the final value. A recess must stay meaningful relative to the host thickness.

Edit or remove a region

Created push/pull regions retain an editable distance and can be deleted through the tool’s region controls. When several regions exist on the same face, label your intent through simple geometry and change one at a time.

Confirm actual geometry

Display edges help reveal the boundary, but redundant lines can make a correct surface look fragmented. Inspect from both sides and measure the depth. For construction-critical subtractive work, also verify that the host remains a valid solid and that no hidden sliver geometry was created.
