Use guides, offsets and mirror construction

Construct parallel boundaries, convert helpers and mirror sketch geometry across a selected guide.

Guides

Guides are construction references rather than solid boundaries. Create and edit an offset guide when several points must align. A guide can be converted into sketch geometry, deleted individually or converted with the available bulk action.

Offset

Offset creates a parallel loop or boundary from supported geometry, including a rectangular face loop. Check whether the offset is inward or outward and whether a small value collapses narrow corners. The new lines still need a valid closed region before extrusion.

Mirror across a guide

In Grid mode, select a guide as the mirror line, then mirror the chosen or current sketch geometry. Confirm the copy lands on the opposite side and shares intended endpoints at the center. Do not assume visually symmetric source geometry is mathematically joined.

Clean after verification

Keep helpers while editing dimensions. After the profile extrudes correctly, remove unused guides and construction lines so future selections are unambiguous. If the guide defines an important centerline, preserve it until all mirrored placement work is complete.
