Clean display edges and construction lines

Reduce visual noise after a custom solid is correct without mistaking cleanup for a geometry change.

Clean display edges

Generated or edited geometry can contain redundant visible edge segments. Clean display edges suppresses unnecessary linework for a clearer model. It is intended as display cleanup, not a Boolean or dimensional geometry operation.

Clean construction lines

Construction cleanup removes sketch lines and guides used during editing. Run it only after the solid and any mirrored or offset relationships are verified. Removing helpers can make later reconstruction harder even when the finished solid remains intact.

Check before and after

Copy the object before learning cleanup. Compare silhouette, face count appearance, measurements and selection behavior. Toggle global object edges to distinguish a cleaned object’s own display from the viewport-wide edge setting.

Keep useful references

A centerline or alignment guide may still be useful for placement even after the solid looks finished. Delete only what no longer communicates intent. Save a milestone first when construction geometry would be time-consuming to recreate.
