Recommended test
Compare a starter with its editable building design and save a separate project.
- Choose Build on the Sauna card and wait for the prepared design to generate.
- Open Build and inspect its dimensions, roof system and placed doors and window.
- Return to startup on a separate test, choose Customize and adjust the saved design before generation.
- Save a .strek copy and reopen it to compare the building and designer settings.
Choose Build or Customize
The startup screen offers Double Garage, Cabin / Shed, House and Sauna. Build generates the selected saved design, including its prepared opening layout. Customize opens it in the visual builder so you can change the design first.
Use Build from scratch for manual construction, or Open workspace for an empty working canvas. You can select language and units in the startup header.

The current Sauna includes two single-glass balcony doors and a large plain window. Its new saved design replaces the earlier uninsulated starter with chord-and-post roof frames. Existing saved Sauna projects keep their own geometry and settings.
While building, allow generation to finish. If the app needs you to review replacement or reports a generation issue, continue in the visual builder.
Review the settings you inherit
Open Build and inspect floor type, insulation, wall height, roof framing, openings and any dormers. Choose the closest starting design, then adjust it for the project.
Regenerating replaces the current model from the saved design. Manual 3D edits are not imported into that recipe. Keep a project copy before replacing a building you have edited directly.
Check downstream outputs
Cutlists, drawings and assembly guides depend on the actual generated model. Older starter-specific part counts or booklet page totals should not be reused for a changed design.
In particular, the experimental assembly-guide adapter for the old Sauna’s chord-and-post roof does not cover the current rafter Sauna. The current House also contains a dormer, outside the assembly guide’s supported inputs. Read assembly-guide availability and its preview before planning an automatic booklet.
