Configure walls, insulation and battens

Set stud geometry, top plates and wall layers while keeping quantity assumptions explicit.

Frame the wall

Wall settings control height, stud width and depth, material identity and top-plate configuration. Double top plates create a visibly different assembly and quantity. Use the dimensions of the intended framing stock rather than relying on a generic label.

Insulation and sheathing

Enabling wall insulation prepares an insulated wall arrangement and adds a generic sheathing quantity by area. It does not create a specific insulation product in the bill of materials. Record insulation type, thickness and performance outside the geometry until a real catalog item is assigned.

Battens

Wall battens create the service or cladding support layer. The interface defaults reflect a 23 × 48 mm-style batten, but the project setting should match the intended build-up. Inspect corner and opening conditions after regeneration.

Read the result critically

Use Object Groups to isolate one wall, then view it from inside and outside. Confirm stud direction, plates, layers and overall thickness. Openings added later require their own framing review. Generated walls provide repeatable geometry and quantities; they do not check wind loads, bracing, fire performance or local detailing rules.
