Recommended test
Apply a distinctive color and partial opacity to a copy, then restore a readable solid display.
- Open Model Color & Opacity on a small model and choose a clearly different color.
- Reduce opacity enough to reveal interior framing and inspect the result from Iso view.
- Switch glass representation between translucent and solid color if glass is present.
- Restore full opacity and confirm the model remains dimensionally unchanged.
Color is a display choice
Model color changes the visible material treatment without resizing geometry. Use a neutral color for inspection, a project color for presentation or a high-contrast color to distinguish an assembly.
Use opacity carefully
Lower opacity can reveal hidden framing and overlaps, but it also makes depth and selection less obvious. Use Hide Tool when a completely unobstructed view is needed. Return to full opacity before judging whether faces are missing.
Glass modes
Glass can display as translucent material or a solid color. Translucency reads naturally in a render; solid color can produce clearer technical elevations. Pick the mode that serves the output and check it again in Line display.
New models default to Solid glass so interior framing does not obscure window grilles. To see inside, choose Model Color → Glass Mode → Translucent. Glass mode applies to glazing across the model; reopened projects retain their saved choice.
Save intended appearance
Appearance can be captured in project and page state. Before a Planner page or export, review color, opacity, glass, edge and lighting settings as one set. A transparent working view should not accidentally become the issued presentation view.
