Hide objects and manage model groups

Reduce visual clutter temporarily, restore hidden geometry and use the model hierarchy to inspect assemblies.

Hide is temporary

Hide Tool changes visibility; it does not delete model geometry. Use it to see interior framing, simplify selection or prepare a drawing view. Because hidden state can be recorded by Project Planner pages, restore or intentionally save the desired state before capturing a page.

Object Groups

The model hierarchy groups generated assemblies and parts. Groups can be expanded or collapsed for easier browsing, and their visibility can be toggled together. This is faster and safer than clicking many related parts individually.

Restore the scene

The toolbar exposes Unhide all when hidden objects exist. Use it when you cannot find an object, when a quantity inspection appears incomplete or before a general export. A group that remains disabled in the hierarchy may still need its own visibility toggle restored.

Visibility and outputs

Visible state matters to viewport images, Planner pages and 3D exports. Cutlists and other derived information use model structure and metadata rather than merely the pixels on screen, but always validate the intended scope. If a presentation requires a partial assembly, save that as a deliberate page view rather than leaving the working model accidentally hidden.
