Recommended test
Arrange a small room and verify that its furniture survives saving without becoming generated 3D geometry.
- Open Build > Floor planner, select a level and choose Furniture.
- Place a sofa, rotate it 90 degrees, then duplicate and move the copy.
- Enable Show clearance and compare its outline with a nearby door swing.
- Save a project copy, reopen it and check the items on their original level.
- Generate the building and confirm furniture remains in the plan only.
Open the gallery
Choose Furniture in Build > Floor planner to open Furniture and interior. Select a card, then click in the plan to place it. Escape cancels placement. The cards show each item’s starting dimensions.
The gallery contains six categories:
| Category | Available symbols |
|---|---|
| Living | Three-seat sofa, armchair and coffee table. |
| Dining | Dining table with six seats. |
| Sleeping | Double and single beds. |
| Kitchen | Base cabinet, kitchen sink and cooker. |
| Bathroom | Toilet, washbasin and shower. |
| Storage | Wardrobe. |
The yellow notice explains the current scope: furniture and interior items appear only in the floor plan and are not included in the generated 3D model. 3D support is in development. The symbols help arrange a room; they do not create 3D furniture or purchase-list items.
Adjust a placed item
Choose Select, click an item and drag it into position. Use Plan X and Plan Y for exact placement. Rotation (°) accepts an angle, and Rotate 90° gives a quick quarter-turn. Mirror reverses the symbol and Duplicate creates a separate nearby copy.
Adjust Width and Depth when those controls are enabled. Some catalog items have fixed dimensions. Resizing the building does not scale furniture; check positions and any outside-footprint warnings after changing the building size.
Check room for movement
Enable Show clearance for the selected item or Show all furniture clearances under Plan presentation. The dashed outlines are planning aids. Compare them with room spans, door swings and adjoining furniture; they are not an accessibility or building-code assessment.
Furniture belongs to the level on which it was placed. Switch floors to arrange a different layout. Save the working design or a named variant, then save the .strek project to retain it after closing.
Keep plan symbols separate from model output
Generating creates the building, internal walls, finish panels and doors. Furniture remains in the saved floor plan and will not appear in a 3D view, model export or a Project Planner capture of that model. Stairs and a dedicated floor-plan PDF export are also outside this release.
