Recommended test
Compare a small fillet and chamfer on the same selected box edge.
- Apply a small Box and choose Edge finish in 3D mode.
- Click one edge, choose Fillet and enter a modest radius.
- Switch Type to Chamfer and compare the preview without picking the edge again.
- Apply one valid result, then undo and inspect the original edge.
Select edges on one body
Choose Edge finish beneath Push/Pull in the 3D rail. Hover an edge to highlight it in purple, then click to select it in amber. Click another edge to add it, or click a selected edge again to remove it.
Orbit with the right mouse button to reveal hidden edges. One operation supports up to 128 edges on one body; finish that body before choosing edges on another.
Choose Fillet or Chamfer
Fillet rounds the edge using a Radius. Chamfer creates an angled edge using Distance. Select the type at the top of the same panel; the selected edges, size and Tangent chain setting carry over when you switch.
Start small. A radius or distance that consumes a narrow face, collides with another feature or cannot be rebuilt into a valid body will be rejected. Inspect the preview from more than one side.
Follow a tangent chain
Enable Tangent chain to preview and select smoothly connected edges together. Sharp corners stop the chain. Check the highlighted run before applying a large selection.
Clear selection is a text link. It removes the selected edges and restores the original preview while leaving the tool open. Hover or focus the ? before Type or Tangent chain for guidance.
Apply the checked result
The live result updates when the selection or size changes. Apply waits for the current valid result. Cancel or Escape restores the original body and returns to Select.
Use Fillet in Sketch mode when you want to round a drawing corner before extrusion. That changes the source curves; Edge finish changes a 3D solid. Both edits can be saved in .strek, with session Undo/Redo available while working.
