The Build Generator builds every stud, rafter, siding panel, and roof plane automatically. Treat it as the fastest way to go from client constraints to a production-ready model.
Typical use cases
Use the generator whenever you need a starting point for:
- Standard sheds (gabled or mono-slope).
- Detached garages or workshops up to two bays.
- Backyard cabins, studios, guest suites, and saunas.
- Tiny houses, bunkies, and garden rooms.
How to use it
- Open the Build Generator from the top toolbar.
- Select settings that match your desired structure.
- Enter exact width, depth, wall height, roof pitch, and overhangs.
- Define stud spacing, sheathing, siding, roofing, and floor system details.
- Click Generate—the build writes to the model instantly, so scrap and rerun it whenever you want a different outcome.
Key options
- Wall presets: light framing, insulated, or heavy-duty (more studs, blocking).
- Roof packages: choose rafter spacing, sheathing thickness, and structural type (truss, beam, or shed with collar ties).
- Foundation choices (coming soon): slab, skids, pier blocks, or none.
Current limitations
- One-story rectangular footprints only—use manual editing for L-shapes.
- Roof presets cover gable, mono, and gambrel; hips and complex dormers are manual.
- Maximum tested footprint is 12 m × 18 m (roughly 40 ft × 59 ft); larger models may exceed cut-list limits.
